We all went bowling
on the couch! Gretchen bought a "Wii" so this afternoon after dinner we all went bowling. It was quite fun.
I thought I was going to be the "top bowler" until it was Chelsea's turn. Should of remembered her previous profession of helping the special education kids in high school at their bowling tournments. Kinda a big disadvantage don't you all think? I must be what you call a sore looser! Anyway, these are our final scores:
Chelsea - 192
Jana - 170
Stephen - 150
Grandma Helen - 119
Cooper - 109
Alvin - 80
Gretchen - 79
Chandler - 70 something
Next week we will have to all play golf. Our green carpet will work don't you think?

Where is that door?
I love "screen door weather" and I expect that is the reason why I refuse to turn my refrigeration on when the inside of the house is probably hotter than the outside. (yes, Chelsea?) Of course this year it has been more windy than usual so I have had to deal with inside dust but I don't care! My screen doors are called "phantom screens". Every grandchild has run into these screens more than once thinking they have a free access to the outdoors. Look at Chandler when he was not even one yet . . .
and Tatum, barely past one years old, enjoying my pretty flowers.
Probably it will reach 100 degrees soon so my open doors will close until maybe October. At least everyone will be more comfortable anyway!

Happy Birthday Chandler!
Today is your 6th birthday! How fast you have grown. You are our first grandchild and we are mighty proud of you. You are a good student, a great big brother, a handy helper, an important family member, an impressive and strong young man, you are very handsome, and a joy to have around!
(As you can see he is a big Phoenix Suns fan right now so a bigger basketball board was needed.) I hope your birthday celebrations (you have had several) have been fun for you Chandler. We love you.

Fun fort, or boat, or plane, or whatever!
I went to the toy store the other day to purchase a basketball setup for Chandler's birthday and also purchased this. It was on the half price isle and it looked like fun for "Nana's patio."
Now, I am not sure I would of paid full price for it but it defnitely caught my eye and the sale price made it OK. It is a fun thing according to Chandler and Cooper. Easy to put together and fun to build whatever your imagination desires. The only bad thing about it is that it pops loose if too much action but easily goes back in place. If you have roudy boys maybe not for you!
We all thought Carter and Cash would like it too for their yard so we sent you one today. Watch your front door boys!
Can't forget the pretty patio picture of Tatum and her dolly. Isn't she pretty?

Meet Kiwi!
Peach has a new friend; except they don't like each other! Alvin's aid from the college had a bird she wanted to give away so guess who raised her hand to take it? Yes, me of course. He is a ring necked parakeete and as you can see a much larger bird than Peach who is a lovebird. The kids named him Kiwi and that fits with Peach's name! I like it. Kiwi is supppose to be a good talker but hasn't said anything recognizable yet but we will work on that. He is friendly even thought he bit Gretchen's lip when she tried to kiss him the first day we had him. We have only had him for three days and he gets more friendly each day. I like the noice he makes - a very pleasant sound.
Welcome to our family Kiwi!
